AM6442: On AM64X Linux SDK - on TI cgit, where are the serial drivers that can interact with the SoC UART4 peripheral?

Part Number: AM6442
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

I am trying to locate the Linux generic serial drivers that the Soc UART4 can be used with an application.

This will be a system project, whose first implementation has an A53 core controlling SoC UART4, which will be implementing IPC to interact with an R5 core reading EQEP0 values.

Further questions:

  • Please confirm how one needs to add the UART4 to the Linux device tree?
  • Does anything need to be initialized specifically in the SysConfig tool for the UART4 to be mapped to an A53 core?
  • What is the maximum bit transmission rate that the UART4 can employ when mapped with the A53 core?

thanks

Jim
