Booting QNX on AM3517

Hi,

I have a 3517 EVM and a QNX image built for this board. I also have the board set up to boot from the SD Card. I have X-Loader 1.41 also loaded on the SD Card and uboot.bin (not sure what version). When I power on the board, I get the following error message:

"Texas Instruments X-Loader 1.41 (Mar 12 2009 - 12:26:48)

not there

Could not read bootloader!

X-Loader hangs"

Is there a specific version or build of uboot that I need for this board? Am I missing some other configuration or setup? Thanks for any help you can provide.

That does seem like a pretty old version of x-loader (MLO) on the SD card, but this is no reason that it shouldn't load a compatible version of u-boot.

X-loader is not able to find u-boot. This could be because the u-boot binary is corrupted or there is something wrong with the SD card. I would first try to re-copy u-boot to the card. If this fails, try a different SD card.

There is a tarball with pre-built binaries that you can copy right to the SD card.

P.S.

The files in that tarball have names specific to am3517. If you use new binaries from that download page, make sure to rename the files properly for the SD card. The x-loader binary should be renamed "MLO" on the SD card. The u-boot binary should be renamed "u-boot.bin".
