How to programmatically configure a GPIO pin as DIO and toggle it every 5sec ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6748

Hi,

We have with us a custom built board.

Processor :TMS320C6748

JTAG Emu: Blackhawk-560M

1)We have terminated a GPIO Pin in one of the connector. I am trying to configure programatically a GPIO pin as Digital Output and toggle it every 5 sec. I am not finding any relevant program to do it . Can anyone give me a clue or a sample program to do it ?

2)I have done GPIO,SPI,UART,Interrupt,Timer,PWM ,ADC, Capture Compare with PIC32 Microcontoller. I easily got relevant material for PIC microcontroller . But somehow i am not getting relevant material with respect to TMS320C6748.

  • Sandeep,

If you go to the TMS320C6748 ->Product Folder<- and click on Software & Tools on the right-hand side, you will find a list of software and tools available for the C6748 device and other family parts.

In particular, look at Development Software and StarterWare.

Development Software will get you to more software tools and examples than you might expect. The PSP has examples for GPIO drivers and code.

StarterWare is brand new and I have not looked at it, but I feel sure you will find GPIO code and examples in there, too. And it sounds like a very easy place to start.

Please let me know what you find of use, or if you do not find anything of use. I recommend you start with StarterWare, mainly because I would like to hear your opinion of it.

    Regards,
    RandyP
