About DM8148 Ethernet MAC address

I have read the Tech Ref manual regarding Ethernet.

How is the Ethernet MAC address set?

I read something about it being set by EFUSE,but I can't find any info on what that is.

Looks like TI programs the MAC address at the factory.

It looks like to set MAC address for DM8168.

I want to know how to set MAC address for DM8148.

The DM814x will use the same MAC address mechanism as the DM816x, from what I have been told. The TI guys can confirm.

As far as I know, the same MAC address is set by EFUSE.

The MAC address values are read from the Device Configuration registers MAC_IDx_LO and MAC_IDx_HI (ReadOnly).

And I can't program it.
