Tool/software:
As OSPI NAND is much expensive than QSPI NAND, so QSPI NAND support is preferred. but it is not supported yet and no plan on SW build sheet.
Would like to have it supported.
GD5F1GQ5UEYJG is verified with AM62x already.

What is the BOOTMODE[8] setting when booting the Gigadevice serial NAND on AM62x?
Best,
-Hong
Hong,
The board is not ready yet, I see QSPI NAND boot is not supported in build sheet, want to confirm if BU will support before sending to make board.
Hi Tony,
As we briefly discussed offline, can we cross check BOOTMODE[8] setting on the working customer AM62x board with the GD device?
For the "standard" GD device, one working configuration is setting BOOTMODE[8]=1 to start with 1S-1S-1S for ROM to load "tiboot3.bin" from serial NAND, and re-configure in u-boot for 4S Quad mode for next stage u-boot/Linux loading…

Hi Hong,
Customer resumed board bring up, firstly to correct the mixed up information, on custom board:
#1. AM6234+W25N01KV, BOOTMODE[8]=0 can boot.
#2. AM62L+ GD5F1GQ5RE, need to change to below mode to be able to flash into the flash, but can't boot tiboot3.bin with The Full Boot Mode=0x103.
Also tried: BOOTMODE[8]=0/1, either can't boot.

Is there AM62L + QSPI NAND flash boot up successful case?
Is F35UQA001G-WWT of FORESEE workable with AM62L?
Hi Tony,

1/. do we have any boot log?
2/. do we know QE bit setting in GD5F1GQ5RE?
Is there AM62L + QSPI NAND flash boot up successful case?
The serial-nand (Winbond & Micron) boot on SVB was verified during AM62L SoC wakeup.

#1. There is not any log with GD5F1GQ5RE.
#2. Changed to F35UQA001G and boot up on custom board.
BTW, suggest to feedback to HW team to add a switch or something on AM62L EVM to select OSPI_CS0 between OSPI NAND and NOR flash for booting.
Hi Tony,
1/. We've not tested the GD device on AM62L.
One of AM62x customers tested the GD device (QE=1) on AM62x via setting BOOTMODE[8]=1 to start with 1S-1S-1S for ROM to load "tiboot3.bin" from serial NAND, and re-configure in u-boot for 4S Quad mode for next stage u-boot/Linux loading…
2/. It is good to know the customer is able to boot the F35UQA001G device with AM62L
Yes, we'll feedback your input to the HW EVM team.
Best,
-Hong
