TDA4AL-Q1: Configuration of A72 Shared Memory for DSP/MCU Debug Output

Hi Sanhsin,

Are you asking the configuration of the shared memory on the A72 side?

As seen in the app note, the 256KB of shared memory is allocated on the separate DSP or MCU core for storing the log. The contents and split up of this shared memory is described in the app note of exactly how it is used. The DSP or MCU core will write the logs to this shared memory and the A72 core will extract and read the logs from the shared memory for each core.

Yes, we need to know the configuration file of the shared memory on the A72 side for  Log Debug System.

 For example of  A72 U-Boot and Linux  configuration file

               arch/arm/dts/k3-j721s2-som-p0.dtsi

               arch/arm64/boot/dts/ti/k3-j721s2-som-p0.dtsi

We also need to know how to customize the shared memory address and size for the Log Debug System.

The vx_app_arm_remote_log.out application binary will map the shared memory for Linux. Additionally, the snippet of code shows where the memory is and how to access it. It is constantly reading the logs from this memory region.
