AM6442: How to change console UART from UART0 to UART1

I want to add specifically about the TMDS64EVM UART0s. Users should be aware that the UART0 on that EVM , per SPRUJ63A section 3.4.7, figure 3-13, note that BOTH the SoC UART0 and the MCU UART0 are dedicated on that EVM to the FT4232H USB Bridge IC.

You do not want to remove either UART0 instances from your code if you are continuing to use that EVM.

I am not sure if I understand your comments. It doesn't matter how the EVM is designed, but if there is something I don't need in my project, I should be able to simply disable them in software.

in other words, if you are using CCS with the MCU+ SDK, and relying on the XDS110 and JTAG connections with the TMDS64EVM, you do not want to reallocate the present UART0 . See yellowed nets used on the TMDS64EVM below.

I don't understand how XDS110/JTAG has anything to do with console UART, and Mital is not asking for MCU+ SDK anyway.

Anyway, I think more conversation on this would confuse more Mital and other readers. If you have any concern about the UART and/or EVM, please create new e2e thread to start the conversation.

Hi,

I am trying to change the console port for my custom board from UART0 to UART1.
It works fine after the kernel (post u-boot), but it doesn't work in R5 u-boot, SPL, or A53 u-boot.
I have already modified the u-boot console and the DTS to accommodate this change.
Could some  guide me on the proper method to configure the console to use a port other than UART0 for SPL and u-boot?
