DM368: PINMUX0 dynamic change

Hi,

We work with the DM368 (Linux) and we want to build a specific configuration of PINMUX0. Indeed, we initially set YIN [7-0] as GPIO (8-bit parallel for transmit data) and a second time (on linux user space) as imager input. Is the DM368 supports the dynamic change of PINMUX0? Can we make this change from the linux user space?

In the case of the configuration as 8 bit parallel (GPIO), what could be the maximum frequency of data transmission?

One last question completely independent of the previous, what is the maximum frequency of the SPI module (transmission frequency) in master mode??

  • 1.       Not sure if there is a driver to do that in kernel as delivered. Some ideas could be found from http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sprab39/sprab39.pdf which was on older MV kernel on 355.

    The next two responses to SPI speed are hw limits, so may not be able to achieve it.

     

    2. DM368 d/s June2011, table 6-14, , PLL1SYSCLK4 is 85MHz -> P=11.76ns. Pulse duration  = 2 X36P = 840ns -> 1.19MHz

     

    3. DM368 d/s June2011, table 6-61 – 40MHz due to 25ns minimum, PLL1SYSCLK4 is 85MHz
