Hello Expert,

How can I add a custom model in model_zoo, wallpaper image in oob-demo-assets to setup wallpaper, custom config.yaml and modify /etc/init.d/edgeai-launcher.sh.
I think I can modify setup_wallpaper.sh by patching edgeai-gst-apps. But don't know to do the above modification.

Hi,

When I try to locate edgeai-launcher.sh, it seems in more than one location.
/tisdk/build/arago-tmp-default-glibc/work/aarch64-oe-linux/edgeai-init/1.0-r0_edgeai_0/packages-split/edgeai-init/etc/init.d/edgeai-launcher.sh
/tisdk/build/arago-tmp-default-glibc/work/aarch64-oe-linux/edgeai-init/1.0-r0_edgeai_0/edgeai-launcher.sh

Where can I modify. Could I rebuild after simply edit the file or need patch or like something.

Hi Sajan,

If I understand you correctly, you know how to make these changes on target and you would like to change it in the sdk file system. Is that correct? In that case, all the changes you are referring are in userspace and do not require rebuild of the linux (kernel) image. You can make those changes in the filesystem under <root-sdk on your system>/filesystem/tisdk-edgeai-image-am62axx-evm.rootfs.tar.xz. Then, you can flash to sd card using: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62AX/10_01_00/exports/docs/linux/Overview/Processor_SDK_Linux_create_SD_card.html#create-sd-card-with-custom-images

However, if you would like to regenerate the entire file system and not just changing a couple of images and scripts, you will have to execute a yocto build: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62AX/10_01_00/exports/docs/linux/Overview_Building_the_SDK.html#building-the-sdk-with-yocto.

Hello Qutaiba,

I need to get the ready to flash image after all rebuild. I believe that your reply is about to unzip the tar, make the change and zip it. But it is not practically possible for me because of I need to make many changes after every image creation and I use .wic.xz for create sd card.

Tried to rebuild after adding a test image in /tisdk/build/arago-tmp-default-glibc/work/aarch64-oe-linux/edgeai-test-data/1.0-r0_edgeai_0/oob-demo-assets . Unfortunately it does't works (I mean the change is not reflected in the image).

How can I do this?

What method are you using to build the the image? Are you using yocto?
