Can't boot from SPI

hi,

As we want to boot from SPI,we tried to transfer u-boot to SPI via U-Boot just as the TI816x-PSP-04.00.00.10-U-Boot.pdf said.

Everything goes well utill the Page18 "Flashing U-Boot from U-Boot" TI8168_EVM# sf probe 0:0

What we get is Failed to initialize SPI flash at0:0

Please help.

Have you ensured that SPI is enabled on your EVM - look for Switch SW4 on the EVM

Hi, All.

I have the same problem on the DM816x EVM.

TI8168_EVM#sf probe 0

Failed to initialize SPI flash at 0:0

SW4 SPI - "On".

It is not critical for me, but u-boot can't work with SPI FLASH. u-boot-2010.06-psp04.00.01.13.patch1.

On C6A816x EVM DDR2 boot from SPI and NAND working properly.
