Should the Hyperlink port between two C6678s be AC or DC coupled?

In datasheet of C6678,Hyperlink ports must be DC coupled, but in the HW design guide, it is AC coupled in page84 of document sprabi2a.

Shoud it be AC or DC coupled? Thank you very much.
