Hi,
The CAN-FD is available on the dev kit. Please review this documentation link:

Hi, So as per this i need to add external CAN-FD Trans-receiver. wondering why this CAN-FD Trans-receiver not part of this Evat kit, mean they have added all thing except this Trans-receiver.
Hi,
Yes you will need to add an external CAN-FD transceiver. The reason for not adding is typically cost in terms of board area for a transceiver and a connector. Recently CANBUS is seeing a resurgence in popularity. I will make a request to review adding a CAN transceivers to future EVMs.

Schuyler
Schuyler:
I just saw a presentation from CAN in Automation (CiA). They are now calling standard CAN as CAN Classic (CAN CC) <the ISO standard will be amended with the new nomenclature>, then you have CAN-FD, and next year you will be hearing about CAN-XL [even faster]. I have advised the AM64x marketing manager about this. So I second your request to have CAN FD transceivers available on future EVMs.
BTW, it is known (again via the CiA) that TI has demonstrated CAN-XL test transceiver ICs to Bosch, etc, but it's a bit early to get that into EVMs.
