AM625: Enable display DPI in u-boot for SDK 9.0

DPI in U-Boot is not supported in SDK9.0.
It is currently in our pipeline, and will be supported in the next few releases.

If so, we are unable to display our product logo immediately by using u-boot when power on and we need to waite a serverial seconds after kernel starts.

Any suggest or another solution to show a logo/image as earlier possible?

Hi,

What bootmedia are you using? We already have shifted the splash rendering to the earliest possible stage in the boot sequence (A53 SPL stage).
If further speed up is needed, you may want to use OSPI-NOR(for bootloaders)+eMMC/SD(linux filesystem) kind of setup.
If using this configuration, shift your logo to the OSPI-NOR memory. It has much lower initialization time due to which splash will come up faster.

We want to display a cutom logo image/picture, e.g .bmp or .png.

If we display our logo at A53 SPL stage, in order to show the logo, the current SPL supports neccesary drivers such as DPI to display?  Please guide.

additional questions, 

We boot up by using an external SD Card, in the SD Card,  "ti_logo_414x97_32bpp.bmp.gz" logo file exists.

How/where to config to use/load the logo file?

- from SD Card

- from OSPI-NOR

This should resolve your queries on how to have a custom logo and how to configure it being read from SD/OSPI-NOR.

Currently that stage only supports OLDI display for splash, but as mentioned earlier, DPI support is in the pipeline and is expected to be available over next few releases.
