AM6422: When primary boot device is set to OSPI, /dev/mtd* devices are not available in linux.

The system boots from ospi if the images are flashed, or SD card if they are not.

Are you saying you have OSPI-based boot (U-Boot, Linux, and rootfs) working all from OSPI to Kernel prompt, but then there are no 'mtd' devices visible?

Also did you look under `/dev/mtd*`? This is where they normally should be.

They are there when booting from SD card, but not from OSPI

The /etc part was a typo, sorry.  The subject shows the correct path.  I fixed the path in the original post.

The root filesystem is an initramfs.  We are not using ubifs at all because uboot complained about the minimum write size for the NOR flash.  It was expecting 8 bytes, but the kernel reports 16.  I just flashed the kernel (fitImage) to the mtd partition using flashcp, and modified the boot commands in uboot to read the data raw.  The init script in the initramfs loads updates and mounts an overlay file system on an SD card.
