DMA from PRU to DDR RAM under Linux

Hi guys,

Are there any documents or can anyone offer advice on a safe way to trigger DMA from a PRU program to DDR RAM when running Linux. I'm assuming to avoid conflicts with Linux I must go through the Linux DMA system to set this up but am a little unsure of the steps.
