Hello,

In the following wiki for OMAP-L1/AM1x, there is a warning about having to disable MMC support if NAND support is to be enabled in Linux Kernel configuration because of them being pin multiplexed.

1. Is it applicable to OMAP-L138/AM1808 platform?

2. if yes, why is there no information related to it in the AM1808 Technical reference manual or the user guide for MMC card?

Hi Adnan,

This is not related issue to processor. EVM only supports MMC or NAND via pin multiplexing.

Because of this, AM1808 TRM does not mention to this case.

The datasheet for the OMAP-L138 processor clearly shows that the some of the EMIFA pins (EMIFA is the interface for both NAND and NOR flash devices) and the MMCSD0 pins are multiplexed. You can find this info most clearly in section 2.8 of the datasheet.
