We have been trying to use this example from the dev. guide which was written for ubuntu 10.4 which was called lucid lynx we are using 11.10 (oneiric ocelot) but we are using commands which are for the lucid package, this disconnect may or may not be part of our problem, should I erase my 11.10 and load 10.4?
We are able to Do the OUT of the box demo and load the Android SD card into the LP3517 EVM
kit.
By following the procedures in the Dev-Kit to download the repo/git
facilities we get errors on
repo sysnc
$ sudo add-apt-repository "deb
http:/ / archive. canonical. com/
lucid partner"
$ sudo add-apt-repository "deb-src http:/ / archive. canonical. com/
ubuntu lucid partner"
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install git-core gnupg sun-java6-jdk flex bison gperf
libsdl-dev libesd0-dev libwxgtk2.6-dev build-essential zip curl
libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev minicom tftpd uboot-mkimage expect
$ sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
Our questions are
1- Should we be using Lucid Lynx?
2. CMD PROMPT 1 & 2 above calls for debian is Ubuntu the same?
3 Error message for repo sync is on line one of the HTML "syntax error near unexpected token 'new line' "
