AM62A7: C7xMMA custom code execution

Part Number: AM62A7

Tool/software:

Hello,

Our team is evaluating the C7xMMA for implementing Model Predictive Control (MPC) algorithms and associated signal processing tasks.

Could someone please clarify the following regarding C7xMMA programmability:

  1. AM62A7: Is it possible for users to run their own custom code directly on the C7xMMA? We understand from previous E2E discussions that this feature was on the roadmap.

  2. AM62D: If not, does the AM62D offer this capability? Furthermore, does the AM62D support running Linux on its Cortex-A53 cores?

Thanks for the assistance.

Regards,
Ihor

  • Hi Ihor,

We are glad to see you are interested in AM62A and AM62D.

AM62A is currently used for vision applications using our TIDL SW.

AM62D offering currently focuses on Audio applications but it can certainly offer the capability you are asking for. Would you please reach out to your local TI representative to learn more about your application's requirements and timeline and also discuss the feasibility of using AM62D?

    Best regards,

    Qutaiba

  • Hi Ihor,

Thank you for your interest in TI SoCs. Regarding custom C7xMMA programmability -

    AM62A: Doesn't support it today.

AM62D: Offers the capability on FREERTOS SDK today with restricted access to Automotive Audio customers only. Linux SDK support for Industrial and Pro Audio market  is under works. Please check with us in another 3-6 months to learn the launch schedule.

    Regards,

    Manisha
