Hi Expert.

1. We are currently using the PSDK ti-firmware-builder-am62axx-evm-09_02_00_05, and we have the following questions related to it:

Q1) There are camera-related source files in 'imaging/sensor_drv', but they are set to be skipped during the build process. Please let us know the reason for this.

Q2) Please let us know from which future version of the PSDK 'imaging/sensor_drv' will be available for use.

Hi,

The imaging/sensor_drv is meant for platforms that use RTOS SDK. AM62A is a Linux SDK which has sensor drivers from the Linux kernel, not from imaging/sensor_drv.

Hi Byoungsoo,

Understood your background. The ti-firmware-builder is used to build the R5 and C7x firmware. Sensor drivers are running on A53 in Linux.

in the case of bringing up a new camera,
we have to work on the Linux image first and then replace the image in 'ti-firmware-builder-am62axx-evm-09_02_00_05' PSDK.,

Hi Byoungsoo,

You don't need to rebuild the firmware to bring up a new camera. Please refer to the ISP Tuning Guide, Chapter 5 Sensor Software Integration.
