Hello Expert,

How can I print the output in the host machine terminal that print a table of contents model name, inference time, frames per seconds etc.

Hi Sajan,

The edgeai-gst-apps is built with the assumption that there should be some output. If you don't wish to display the output to the screen, you can select on of the other output formats such as video record to file, save series of images or remote streaming.

Not having any output at all require significant changes to the application code. This means you don't need to split the input frame into two different resolutions one for display and one for model. It also means most of the post process code (annotation) is not needed. If this is what you want, I suggest that you create a simpler gstreamer pipeline just for the input part as the whole output part is not needed. You can use your own gstparser/wraper.

The Retails Checkout demo uses its own gst pipeline builder (parser wrapper). Unlike the original edgeai-gst-apps, this demo collects all gstreamer pipeline builder code in a single file at: https://github.com/TexasInstruments-Sandbox/edgeai-gst-apps-retail-checkout/blob/main/retail-shopping/gst_configs.py. You can use this file as a starting point for your new app.
