Tool/software:

OTP Keywriter for AM62x v09.00.00 needs following packages:

MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM62X: v09.02.01.06

keywriter add-on package: v09.00.00

CCS: v12.2.0

SYSCONFIG: v1.15

I installed these packages and tried to make OTP keywriter.

But, the following error was occurred:

c/ti/mcu_plus_sdk_am62x_09_02_01_06/source/security/sbl_keywriter/am62x-sk/r5fss0-0_nortos/ti-arm-clang$ gmake -sj PROFILE=debug

Generating SysConfig files ...

gmake:

c/ti/sysconfig_1.20.0/nodejs/node: No such file or directory

gmake: *** [makefile:203: syscfg] Error 127

I think that SYSCONFIG version is wrong.

Is it correct these version written in AM62X_OTP_Keywriter_User_Guide?

This is incorrect version. The OTP Keywriter v09_00_00 is meant to be used with the MCU+ SDK v09_00_00_19.

Does this error message depend MCU+ SDK?

I mean, I think OTP Keywriter v09.00.00 needs SYSCONFIG v1.20.0 but SYSCONFIG v1.15.0 is required according to OTP Keywriter's document.

The OTP Keywriter depends on a specific MCU+ SDK version. That specific MCU+ SDK version then depends on specific versions of the different tools SYSCONFIG, TI ARM CLANG compiler as mentioned in its setup guide:

software-dl.ti.com/.../SDK_DOWNLOAD_PAGE.html

Please ignore the tools versions mentioned in the OTP Keywriter user guide.

There is only one OTP Keywriter version (v09.00.00) at the moment that is meant to be used with the MCU+ SDK 09.00.00.19.

There is no OTP Keywriter package available as of now for any other MCU+ SDK version except v09.00.00.19.

The secure boot is available in all the SDK versions. It's just that you have to program the keys and convert the device using the available keywriter package to be used with specific SDK version.

So, do you mean that I have to use MCU+ SDK v09.00.00.19 to build keywriter if I want to use secureboot with MUC+ SDK except v09.00.00.19?

In that case, it doesn't cause issue like certificate validation failure even if using any version SDK greater than v09.00.00.19?

No.

#1 Build Keywriter tool and flash the keys to OTP area.

The available keywriter package v09.00.00 should be used with the MCU+ SDK v09.00.00.19

#2 Build signed application.

any SDK version is OK.

The only relation between those two steps is you would need to integrate the programmed keys from Step #1 to whichver SDK version they use in Step #2 so that the signing is done using the correct keys.
