Hi,

I would like to ask a question with EVMAM1808.

In Recommendation Conditions of TPS65070 datasheet SLVS950C, the capacitor connected to [pin 7/8, SYS] requires minimum 22µF for proper soft-start.

But in EVMAM1808 schematics, it is a 10µF C74.

Has EVMAM1808 ever tested with soft-start?

    Yes that looks like it is out of spec according to the datasheet. The board has never been tested with battery power though.

    When designing your board, please keep in mind that the EVMs are not reference designs which should be blindly copied. They may contain mistakes, and modes that were never used or tested may not function properly, despite the best efforts of the designer. If you see a discrepancy between a datasheet and the EVM, please always follow the datasheet in the future.
