AM6421: GPMC WAIT PIN-enabled Crash

Tool/software:

After enabling the GPMC WAIT PIN, if the WAIT PIN behaves abnormally (stays low without going high) during data transfer, the AM64x crashes. The debugger disconnects and the program freezes.

Normal WAIT PIN operation doesn't cause crashes.

The crash seems to be due to the CPU being unable to fetch instructions properly.

Is this WAIT PIN-induced crash normal? What's the specific reason?

Hello Ryan,

The WAIT Pin is an input to AM64x GPMC. It tells GPMC to pause a read/write access until the external memory/FPGA is ready.
So, please check on the FPGA side why this pin is not able to control and why the FPGA is always pulling low.
