Hi,

I’m working with a segmentation model that includes two unsupported layers. As a result, the TIDL import process splits the model into three subgraphs.

My question is:
Can subgraphs that contain unsupported layers still be executed on the TDA4VH board?
Or are only fully supported subgraphs mapped and executed on the board, while unsupported parts are dropped?

For context:

I’m using SDK version 9.2

The model was compiled using the standard edgeai-tidl-tools workflow

Any clarification would be appreciated.

Hi Minho,

On the board, the layers that are not supported in TIDLRT, has to be run on ARM, which is the reason why the subgraphs split. The unsupported parts should run fully on ARM. If you can share the .svg file that is created in your artifacts, I could recommend further.

Depending on the unsupported layer, you can convert it using the model optimization tool that TIDL tools offers : https://github.com/TexasInstruments/edgeai-tidl-tools/tree/master/osrt-model-tools/osrt_model_tools/onnx_tools/tidl_onnx_model_optimizer

Since you are using SDK 9.2, I recommend seeing it the same issue occurs in TIDL version 10_00_07_00 which is backwards compatible with 9.2.
