Hi,

I would like to confirm "EtherCAT subDevice simple Demo" which is implemented on Industrial communication SDK (I'm checking v09.02.00)
I install CCS12.7 which is suggested on following page.

And, I imported "ethercat_slave_simple_demo_am243x-lp_r5fss0-0_freertos_ti-arm-clang" to CCS.
After that I built this project. However, I got following error on CCS console.

"makefile_ccs_bootimage_gen:75: recipe for target 'all' failed"

I used "TI Clang v3.2.2.LTS" to build project.
As I checked document about industrial communications SDK, I did not find specific procedure to build demo project.
So, could you please tell me how you build this sample project ?

Hello Ryuuichi Machida,

Could you please check if the ind-comms-sdk 9.02.00.24 has been registered in CCS?
Goto Window -> Preferences -> Products -> Discovered Products.

Also, check in the project properties if the correct sdk has been selected. Please refer the screenshot below.

Hello Ryuuichi Machida,

Could you please check if additional SDK tools are installed. Kindly refer the section Installing Additional SDK Tools.

OpenSSL is required for signing the bootloader. Test "openssl" by doing below on a command prompt and make sure there is no error.

Example output on Windows is shown below,

C:> openssl version
OpenSSL 1.1.1k 25 Mar 2021

Hello,

I did not install python 3.x and openssl.
However, I have two questions about below.

>C:> openssl version
>OpenSSL 1.1.1k 25 Mar 2021
According to cybertrust information, openSSL version 1.1.1 has already become EOL.

And also, I could not find v1.1.1 on website which SDK documentation point out.

Q1. Could you please tell me how I get version 1.1.1 ?
Q2. Is it OK to continue to use version 1.1.1 for production ?

Hello Ryuuichi Machida,

Yes. The openssl version v1.1.1 has reached the END OF LIFE and openssl version v3 is recommended.
