AM62A7: About ISP tuning: high - light suppression

Part Number: AM62A7

Tool/software:

Hi TI experts,

I'm working on ISP tuning for my project.

I haven't found any materials about high - light suppression in the ISP tuning guide documents.

Could you please share some advice on how to tune for high - light suppression?

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Meng

  • Hi Meng,

Could you please share some advice on how to tune for high - light suppression?

This is application specific and we don't have much experience.

Could you please elaborate on your questions?
What kind of issues do you have?

  • Hi Gang,

In practical applications, when there are strong light sources in the scene,
such as direct sunlight, car headlights, or bright lighting in indoor environments,
the captured images often suffer from over - exposure, loss of detail in bright areas, and poor overall visual quality.
I would like to know how to solve this problem

    Best Regards,

    Meng

  • Hi meng,

In practical applications, when there are strong light sources in the scene,
such as direct sunlight, car headlights, or bright lighting in indoor environments,

This is related to auto exposure algorithm, WDR tone mapping tuning/adjustment at run-time, sensor WDR tuning as well as lens/optical issues.
It is typically the expertise area of our imaging 3rd parties.
TI's demo application and algorithms in SDK are not developed and optimized for end applications.
If you have any specific failure situation, please share some sample raw/yuv images with us for review.
