Can OMX components CAPTURE SCALE and DISPLAY work in RGB888 format?

Hi TI experts,

After reading carefully this post http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/717/t/138320.aspx#498716 we still have another question.
From the above post we understand that video capture can yield only digital data in YUV420SP format on the internal HDVPSS side. Does TI in near future EZSDK versions intend to add support for capture, display and scale in HDVPSS OMX components in RGB888 format?

OMX Video Capture support 420SP and YCbYCr422 format output. No support is planned for RGB memory to memory drivers or display drivers. Capture can be enabled as in the case of the forum post you have quoted. Display can take only YCbYcr422 input.

From my limited knowledge, SGX 530 HW with TI81XX can do scaling in RGB888. Please post a query on the graphics query regarding this.

Is there RGB OpenMAX capture support in the latest EZSDK?

Hi,

VFCC is having RGB support but its never tested. While RGB display and scale can be done only on graphics pipeline. There is not openmax component for graphics.
