AM3354: Plugging U-flash result in USB port hang

Part Number: AM3354

Tool/software:

Kernel 4.1

With HUB or without HUB, specific U-flash: Kingstone DT101 G2 8GB.

plug ~5 cycle result in the USB port hang, can't enumerate anymore, no signal on DP/DM upon attaching device after failure, the other USB port is working. if keeping on plugging on the fail port, will result in the other port fail.

Console is still working;  Power cycle can resume.

How to resume by software?

Kernel 3.2.

same test procedure, no signal on DP/DM upon attaching device after failure, console also hang no response, but probably the fail USB port and UART console resume after ~20seconds.

  • Hi Tony,

Does the same USB flash driver trigger the same issue on any of the AM335x EVM or Beaglebone Black board?

Is the USB port configured as host mode or otg mode?

When the failure happens, does the Linux console print any message?

but probably the fail USB port and UART console resume after ~20seconds.

Do you mean the USB port recovers by itself after about 20 seconds and works again?
