TDA4VEN-Q1: In the wdr mode, the calibration of awb is abnormal.

Part Number: TDA4VEN-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Ti

My calibration steps are as follows:
1.First, generate the initial parameters: imaging/tools/default_DCC_profile_gen/scripts$python ctt_def_xml_gen.py... /configs/<configuration file>

2.After compiling the initial parameters and making the card, calibrate the blc. The calibration result is 171, and in the linear mode, it is calibrated to 256. It has been confirmed with sensor fae that the blc data is normal. After obtaining the BLC data, the correct blc values and pwl points are filled in imaging/tools/default_DCC_profile_gen/configs/<configuration file>. Repeat Step 1 again to generate new parameters
3. Shoot raw images under the D65/TL84/A/H light source. After opening the dcc tool to upload the raw images and the pcl.txt file, keep clicking nextpage-->finish and execute the process plugin
4. The final calculated cr/cb curve and Gray1 of 4 curve are abnormal.
Please help debug the cause of the exception. Thank you very much

The attachment will be uploaded to pcl.txt

Tks!

  • Hi peng,

For just AWB calibration in tuning tool, BLC or linear mode does not really matter.

You only need to enter correct raw images and knee point file which may remove BLC according to the plugin guide.

Please review the AWB plugin guide carefully and use the correct pedestal value from your sensor driver.

  • Hi Gang Hua

I still don't understand exactly which step was wrong. Regarding the blc value, it was filled in as 0 in the sensor driver. I also tried changing it to 0 and the result was about the same. Besides, in the linear mode, it was slightly greenish. Besides calibration, where can I adjust the awb gain? I didn't find it in the xml file.

There is another new issue: the color temperature value can no longer be read now. Previously, it could be read and the log I captured, as well as the AE statistics I read, had a relatively large number of G blocks, and the Rgain and Bgain were also relatively large, but the picture was greenish. It's so strange.

  • Hi

Please follow Gang said and check the guide carefully.

Please review the AWB plugin guide carefully and use the correct pedestal value from your sensor driver

In the guide, you can see a reference kneepoints like this:

Apparently, you are mixing input and output.

    Regards,

    Adam

  • Hi Adam

After modifying the kneepoint file, the correction result is similar to that in the linear mode. There's also a linear color cast issue. I'll mention a new case separately. Thank you very much!

  • Hi Peng,

There's also a linear color cast issue.

Do you mean AWB color cast?

Please share your calibration xml file and sample raw/yuv images (in WDR mode) in the failure condition.
