AM625: Possible to force low speed USB2?

Part Number: AM625

Tool/software:

A standard 2.0 interface can at High Speed (HS)=480 Mb/s and can also run at the lower USB1 speeds (Full Speed(FS) = 12Mb/s and Low Speed(LS) = 1.5Mb/s) for compatibility with legacy 1.0 devices.

Do we have any control over this setting within the TI USB hardware module on the AM62?, meaning could we force the port to run at a lower speed?

The reason I am asking is we are looking at our equipment requirements.  USB will be our primary communication interface, specifically cable length and hardware engineering is asking me if we can down-shift from 480Mb/s to deal with cable length / signal integrity

Is it possible to force the device to believe that it is only capable of FS or LS interface? Are there any potential drawbacks other than the obvious throughput loss? Is there a way to achieve this that allows this to be dynamically selected?
