DRA829V-Q1: USB3 speed versus CPU clock speed

Part Number: DRA829V-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829

Tool/software:

Hi champs,

When the DRA829 has been used with a CortexA72 CPU running at 2GHz, the USB3 speed has been tested around 120Mbyte/s (1Gbps) as expected

But after having decreased the CPU Frequency from 2GHz to 1 GHz it has been noticed that the USB3.0 speed was also decreased down to 60Mbyte/s (divided by 2)

it looks like the CPU frequency and the USB3.0 internal clocks have a direct dependency!

Could you share how the USB3 could be used at 120Mbyte/s when running the CPU at 1GHz ?

Is there a pre-scaler/divider to set to do so ?

Thank you!

Best regards,

Guillaume
