66AK2G12: Suitability for New Long-Term Designs?

Part Number: 66AK2G12

Tool/software:

Hi,

I'd like to ask whether the 66AK2G12 DSP is a viable choice for a new low-volume product with an expected lifecycle of 15+ years. We have prior experience with K2G and would like to leverage that know-how in our future design.

While the device is listed as ACTIVE, it was introduced around 2017 and could likely be considered a "mature" product. Since there's no specific longevity commitment listed (only the general guidelines here: https://www.ti.com/support-quality/quality-policies-procedures/product-life-cycle.html), we're interested in understanding the roadmap and long-term availability of the 66AK2G12.

In particular, our design requires the extended temperature variant - specifically the 66AK2G12ABYA60. In general, this part seems to be available in lower quantities. Will it remain available for as long as the product is listed as ACTIVE?

Regards,

Tom
