TDA4VH-Q1: TRACE in TDA4VH

Could you please confirm whether you followed these steps for installation and setup of CCS:

Can you also try using CCS 12.8 version and check whether the issue still persists?

yes, it's there,

I was using ccs 12.4 which was supported in SDK 9.2, but it had hardware Trace analyzer, using that I was not able to trace C7x1 core.

But switched to CCS 20 , and loaded vision apps firmware in SD card boot mode I was able to see some trace, But in No boot mode I was seeing lower pwr clock issue.

Is it possible to trace using CCS12.4 for TDA4VH in SD card and No Boot mode?

Is it possible to trace using CCS 20 in TDA4VH on No boot mode?

Let me know what might be the issue?

Hi Gowtham,

I have tried enabling CORE-TRACE using CCS 12.8.0 in NO BOOT mode, and it works fine.
Below are the steps I followed:

1)Board is set to NoBoot mode. Connect target on CCS 12.8.0
2)Connect to M4 core (this automatically triggers a gel script for basic initializations, no need to manually trigger any other scripts)
  This gel script is the gel we give while creation of target configuration file (emulation/gel/J784S4_TDA4VH/J7AHP.gel)
3)Connect to C7x core
4)Load program on C7x core
5)Start CoreTrace capture
6)Halt the core on CCS

Can I do this in CCS 20.4 version via NO BOOT mode?

Yes, In CCS 20.4  you can select TRACE option from VIEW -> TRACE and try the same.

Yes I was able to trace in CCS 20 in SD card boot mode, 

But is there an option for NO boot mode debugging? and I don't need to need to run launch.js for that?? which we do in CCS 12.8

I think it is same as CCS 12.8, you need to run the launch.js file from the scripting console and then do the rest of the steps.
