AM3356: When the Scarthgap for AM335x will be released?

Part Number: AM3356

Tool/software:

Hi expert,

My customers want to know when the Scarthgap for AM335x will be released.
Could you tell me?

I saw the following url.
e2e.ti.com/.../am3352-is-ti-scarthgap-build-feasible-as-of-2025-03-14

Our product doesn't require graphics but we would like E2E support.
In the cicd-report on 202505011354 there are some fails, are they serious problem?

Best regards,
Katsuyama

  • Hi Katsuyama-san,

I'm clarifying with the team and will report back here soon.

Looking through the latest CI/CD regression testing report I don't see anything overly concerning.

Let me know if you'd like me to double-check some specific aspect from the test report. All the test cases (source code) are publicly available (in fact they are part of the tisdk-default-image when you use Yocto to build it for that platform), so we can look at any of those more closely.

  • Hi Katsuyama-san,

I'm clarifying with the team and will report back here soon.

Talking with the development team I was informed that the current plan is to release an SDK v11.1 for AM335x around 15-Oct-2025. I was told porting-wise there isn't anything major pending except some "BeagleBone Green" board support, the PRU Ethernet support, and perhaps some bug fixes.

So if you want to get started using what we have on CI/CD, knowing that you should me moving over to the official source snapshots of SDK v11.1 once released, I don't see why this should be an issue. We'll certainly support you here as good as we can; as this may also help us shake out any potential issues we are not aware of.

  • Hi Andreas-san,

Thank you for your prompt and courteous response. It's very helpful.
