In the AM68x series datasheet,“up to xxxMP/s”is listed under Features as
a Video Encoder/Decoder performance value.
The “xxx” value varies for each series.
Is the performance required to encode 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution correct?

For 30fps
　3840 * 2160 * 30 = approx. 249 MP/s

For 60fps
　3840 * 2160 * 60 = approx. 498 MP/s

In the case of AM62P, it says “up to 300MP/s” in the Features section,
so I am wondering if the performance is up to 4K and 30fps,
However, in chapters 1.4.32 and 7.4 of the Technical Reference Manual (SPRUJ83A),
“60fps” is also mentioned.

Hello Hidekazu,

The video encoder/decoder for the AM68 device supports up to one instance of 4k60 which is approx 500MP/s. To my knowledge AM62P should have the same VPU. I will double check internally to confirm.

Hello,

Yes, I did confirm that. Also confirmed that the supported stream parameters are for 4k at 60 fps for the AM62P device.
