Hi, TI expert! I have a development environment for am6234, with our own evaluation board.
The software SDK version is PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-RT-AM62X-10.01.10.04.

We modified the rti_wdt_ping function and only fed the dog twice, as shown in the picture above.

Stop feed the dog after two attempts，when tested on the hs-fs device, the device was able to restart normally. However, when tested on the hs-se device, it did not restart properly.

How can we solve this problem？

- Basic flow for WDT/ESM SoC RESET:

WDT timeout event => Main ESM_ERRORz => MCU ESM_ERRORz => SoC RESET

- SoC reset triggered from WDT timeout => ESM SoC RESET

According to below code on ESM probe https://git.ti.com/cgit/ti-u-boot/ti-u-boot/commit/arch/arm/mach-k3/am625_init.c

Maybe you can check whether MCU ESM works normally or not firstly

Another suggestion is that can you try the method in below link as default example:

Hello Li,

In addition to Thomas's questions, please help me understand the differences between the HS-FS test and the HS-SE test. For example:

1) Are these 2 tests run on the exact same boards, and the ONLY hardware difference is whether the processor is HS-FS or HS-SE?

2) Are these 2 tests run with EXACTLY the same software? (e.g., same uboot devicetree file & uboot source code, same Linux devicetree file & kernel configs, same boot flow (SPL vs SBL), etc)
