can Sitara (AM335x) mimic a USB device?

I am from Germany and want to know if the Sitara(AM335x) can mimic a USB device
and if you have a socket for the Sitara that makes it possible to
remove it without soldering.
Preferably something like a SIM card slot for EU telephones, where you
can just slide the
CPU in. I added a picture in case my explanation is bad.
Where can I find a pricelist including the minimum quantities?

Thanks,

Jan

  • Hi Julius,

    1.  Can Sitara (AM335x) mimic a USB device?

Yes, the AM335x has integrated USB OTG ports that can function as USB Device or USB Host.  Note that both the USB controllers and the USB Phy’s are integrated.  Please refer to the device datasheet for details.

    2.  Where can I find a pricelist including the minimum quantities?

For samples and budgetary pricing check the device product folder web page, scroll down to the section titled “Sample or Buy” at the following links.

Note that for samples you can order the XAM3358ZCE and XAM3359ZCZ today.  Then production samples are planned to be available in April 2012.

Also, Suggested Resale Price per unit (USD) is for BUDGETARY use.  For higher volume price quotes, prices in local currency or delivery quotes, please contact your local Texas Instruments Sales Office or Authorized Distributor.
