SK-AM64B: USB Port Issue

Part Number: SK-AM64B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2051,

Tool/software:

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

I’m enabling USB host using usb_init(). After initialization:

USB0_DRVVBUS goes to 3.3V

VUSB_TYPEA outputs ~4.87V

However, the mouse I connect doesn’t power on (its LED stays off), though it works when I supply 5V directly to its power lines.

I changed the PC USB port supplying power to the AM64 board. Although I measured a stable 5V output on the AM64's USB host port, the mouse's LED did not turn on. However, the same mouse functions correctly (LED turns on) when supplied with 5V externally. I'm still trying to understand why the mouse is not working when connected to the AM64 USB port despite these conditions.

My USB power port is USB-C® 3.2 Gen 1 (15W charging), and I replaced the cable with one that supports 3A. I still measure 5V at the USB Host Port (J7), but the LED on the mouse does not turn on. If there is a hardware-related issue, how can I resolve it? The system is currently stuck at this point.

Regards,

TICSC
