AM620-Q1: Does Watchdog still work when AM62x in deep sleep mode?

Dear Expert,

Follow title description, this is a double check.

* Main domain (A53) has dedicated RTI windowed watchdog timer per core

* MCU domain (M4) have One instance Windowed Watchdog Timer (WWDT), implemented by using the Digital Windowed Watchdog (DWWD) function of the Real Time Interrupt (RTI) module providing timer functionality for operation systems and benchmarking code

* Wakeup domain (R5) : I am not sure does it have watchdog

My question.

Beside wakeup domain, Because main/mcu domain will "power off".

so I think all watchdog will stop working when AM62x in deep sleep mode, isn't?

Does wakup domain have watchdog to monitor R5 working?

Hi Gibbs,

You are correct, the watchdogs in the MCU and Main domain will not work when AM62x is in a low power mode due to the clocks that are connected to them not running. Unfortunately, the R5 watchdog in the wakeup domain is not enabled in AM62x and is not able to be used for low power modes.
