Hi team,

As we are studying our new product with AM62 EVM, is there a DDR address mapping table?

For example, when system shows memtester fail:

Compare XOR : FAILURE: 0x1041e82a881463ce != 0x1000e82a880063ce at offset 0x0000000004ff5a28

How could we find the DRAM logic address (Bank/Row/Column/DQ) in DRAM device through the offset 0x0000000004ff5a28 ?

Hi Maurice,

For single rank implementations, we set the address map to CS-Row-Bank-Column

For dual rank implementations, we set the address map to Row-CS-Bank-Column

Hi James,

Which bit to which bit represent for CS/Row/Bank/Column?

For example, bit 1-10 for Column, bit 11-13 for Bank, bit 14-27 for Raw

The size of the DRAM and some controller settings determines the exact mapping, let me dig in a bit and get back to you. Is this memory failure on the AM62 EVM or your custom board?

We are preparing validation board for our new LPDDR4 product, need the mapping table just in case if any failure occurs.

Can you share the datasheet for your DRAM of choice? The mapping does have a dependency on the size of the DRAM.

Hi Lucas,

Our new product is under developing, the density is same as Micron, 16Gb x16.

Hi Maurice, are you using the baremetal version of memtester, or are you running memtester in linux?

i think using memtester in linux may be problematic because it will report a virtual address, which won't necessarily correspond to the physical address that is in error. You would have to use the baremetal version of the memtester to get a correlation to the physical address.
