How to use ROM Ethernet Boot Mode in TMX320C6678L EVM rev1.0?

Dear Everyone,

Is there any who can teach me how to boot with "ROM EMAC Boot mode"?

I'm have a EVM TMX320C6678L Rev of 1.0.

And I set evm to "ROM Ethernet Boot mode"

All I want to do is to boot this device with .out file already created through this "ROM Ethernet Boot mode"

So I set SW3~6 -> (off, on, off, on) (on, on, on, off) (on, on, off, off) (off, on, on, on)

I could get BOOTP packet successfully through WireShark.

So, I think I can assign proper IP address to this MAC address.

After that I think I can create a packet with Boot Table Frame Header. But I don't know what is going to be happen if I put data payload with packet

Please tell me, Is there any examples which will guide me to boot EVM?.

Please help me to do this

The MCSDK package has an example for this boot. Please check under the bootloader folder under MCSDK folder installed.

Thank you for your reply Mr. Arun.

I'm using mcsdk_2_00_00_beta2

But It Seems that is not for C6678 source because that I just can see comments about Himalaya & C64x

I want to know if this example could be used c6678 evm also.

Once installed, the example is at: C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\mcsdk_2_00_04_16\tools\boot_loader\examples\ethernet
