TI 816x Video Capture questions

[yihe]DM816X EVM does not have video input interface, but TI has IO expansion daughter board to work with base EVM. in the IO expansion daughter, it has component interface to support HD video input.

2. I booted the board with the default uImage provided with the EVM. It does not contain any video capture driver (.k0) even /dev/video0 node is not created.Why does this happens?

3. For testing the component/HD input what the best input source available in market?

[yihe] Blue Ray, DVD player, PS3 all can have such interface.

I have TI Component input IO board.  Can we get the composite NTSC input IO board from TI? What if i want to interface an SD camera to board?

Also i am using the uImage that comes with the SDK of the board. I will try using the PSP release you suggested.

yes, TI does has another board to support composite video input. please contact your local FAE or sale person for this.

Can we get HD camera from market which output video on component cable for testing this board? I tried to search but no reliable information was found. Your help on this would be appreciated.

Hi Siddhish,

PS3 can give you 1080P60 output on component. This you can use it for testing. You can also use output of one TI816x component as input to other TI816x.

I actually wanted to feed HD camera input for a demo purpose. So, I was wondering like CCTV camera, would there be camera available in the market which gives component output? I could find out a few models online but then they were not available to buy on the spot.
