AM62P: Custom Design Consideration with AM62P SKEVM

My customer has started testing the AM62P SKEVM, and our hardware designer is planning to develop a custom board.

If they plan to remove certain components indicated in the EVK diagram, we would appreciate your advice on whether there are any parts that should not be removed or may be required later.

Additionally, if they remove the OSPI flash and EEPROM while still using the TI SDK without modification, please let us know what potential issues we may encounter.

Lastly, please also clarify the purpose of the OSPI flash and EEPROM on the AM62P SKEVM.

We are sharing the sections planned for removal from the schematic in the block diagram. Please review and inform us if there are any concerns or issues."

On a high level you should be able to optimize the above block.

The OSPI is another memory interface on the SK.

EEPROM stores the SK ID and configuration files.

I suspect you may have to make some software changes.

Let me check with the experts internally and update.

Hi Sreenivasa.

I understand that OSPI Flash is another type of memory interface, but it would be helpful to confirm whether this memory is currently used by the Android SDK. If it has been included on the EVK for potential future use, the customer intends to simplify the circuitry by keeping only essential components and is considering removing it from the design.
