TDA4AEN-Q1: Recommended bootmode strapping resistors

Hi,

I'm using the TDA4AEN (J722S). I'd like to set the bootmode using pull up/down strapping resistors. The bootmode pins are shared with McASP2, which I'm also using. What value is recommended for these resistors?. I'm thinking around 2K.

The exact value would depend on the connected circuit and its leakage. Usually LVCMOS IO have very low leakage, so 'fairly' high resistor values can be used. I would expect 10K to work in most scenarios - certainly no issue with 2K-ohm setting BOOTMODE value.

Hi Robert,

I was concerned about possible BOOTMODE pins having a PU or PD enabled during BOOTMODE read, but upon reading the datasheet, I do see that the BOOTMODE pins have no PU/PD initially enabled. Do you concur?

Correct - BOOTMODE pins have not internal PU or PD enabled during BOOT, only on-board resistors can set mode.
