TDA4VM: Enabling IPC Communication Between Linux and FreeRTOS on Safety Island

Hi TI Team,

We are using TI-TDA4VM (J721) hardware and have brought up FreeRTOS on the safety island core (r5fss0_0) using the MCU+ SDK.

Query:
Could you please share the steps or documentation required to enable communication between Linux and FreeRTOS on the safety island core using RpmsgSend and RpmsgRecv via IPC? Any working example or guidance on configuration would be very helpful.

TDA4VM don't have MCU+SDK package .Can you please recheck it ? Is it TDA4VEN ?

Thanks for your response. If I use PROCESSOR-SDK-J721E (PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-SK-TDA4VM Software development kit (SDK) | TI.com), then how to enable IPC Communication Between Linux and FreeRTOS on Safety Island?

Any working example or guidance on configuration would be very helpful.

Hello,

sorry for the delay i was out of office.

There are multiple variants in J721E , Can you confirm you are using SK or GP ?

In GP , we have examples in RTOS SDK between Linux core and Free RTOS but on SK we did not validate RTOS SDK
