AM625: Processor which support Synchronized Ethernet (Sync-E)

Part Number: AM625
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83869HM, , CDCM61001, LMK1C1104

Tool/software:

Hello,

I want to connect Ethernet Phy (DP83869HM / LAN8841) to the AM625 Processor which support Synchronized Ethernet (Sync-E) to allow synchronization across mutiple DUTs.

I have connected the Processor with Sync-E ethernet Phy as follows and wanted to confirm with you before I go further in my design.

+----------------------+
| Ethernet PHY (e.g., |
| DP83869HM / LAN8841)|
| |
| - MAC Interface: |
| RGMII/SGMII |
| - SyncE Clock Out |
| (CLK_OUT or |
| REF_CLK_OUT) |
+----------+-----------+
|
| Recovered Clock (125 MHz)

+---------------------------+
| Optional Clock Buffer | <–– e.g., TI CDCM61001 or LMK1C1104
| (cleaning/fan-out) |
+------------+--------------+
|

+---------------------------+
| Processor (e.g. AM625) |
| OSD6254-1G-IPM SoM |
| |
| EXT_REFCLK1 (Pin D16) ◄––––– Recovered Clock Input
| |
| Used by: |
| - CPSW3G MAC |
| - PLL for TSN/PTP |
+---------------------------+

Is the architecture I am following for my application is the correct one ? Please guide me.

If you have any reference for the Sync-E with AM625 then please share the user guide/ schematic for the same.
