SK-AM62-SIP: Build image using Buildroot

Hi, I was wondering how to setup buildroot for the SIP evm? I built the image and the settings for the core seems right in the target options. But it does not boot past uboot-spl

Any ideas on what needs changing or where to look? I just build the AM62X defconfig using 11.00.09.04

Do I need another uboot version?

Hi Matthias,

I just had a look at this; there's multiple points to make here:

The SK-AM62-SIP board is not supported out of the box by our current Linux SDK v11.0 offering at https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X. It is however supported by the previous SDK v10.1 available at https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM62X/10.01.10.04

It should be supported however with the next release of this SDK v11.1 (there's some upstream work ongoing to integrate AM62SIP support more cleanly, which is a prerequisite for our SDK inclusion).
Even while you can use the SK-AM62-SIP board with SDK v10.1 for Yocto and Debian SDKs, this does NOT include Buildroot support. However support can be easily added by creating a new Buildroot configuration file based off configs/ti_release_am62x_sk_defconfig, updating the device tree references accordingly to account for the SK-AM62-SIP board.
