AM623: missing e.MMC reset signal

Part Number: AM623

Tool/software:

Hi,

customer missed to connect the reset signal from the e.MMC in their first prototype design. But now they have a problem as the TI Linux kernel requires this reset signal to reboot the e.MMC.
Is there any other possible solutions. Is there any way they can do without the reset signal?

Regards, Holger

  • Hello,

customer missed to connect the reset signal from the e.MMC in their first prototype design.

The reset signal is required to ensure the eMMC gets in reset state on warm reset for the ROM to successfully boot SPL from it.

But now they have a problem as the TI Linux kernel requires this reset signal to reboot the e.MMC.

Can you please share the Kernel logs to better understand the failure?

    Thanks!
