We have successfully implemented our first proto based on AM62A7 that has a single LCD Display on DPI 24-bit RGB interface. Now the next revision of our product requires 2 displays. We are investigating if we can use the LVDS lines for a local Touch Screen LCD with an HMI and the 24-bit DPI based HDMI port extension in a similar manner to what is implemented on SK-AM62A-LP.
In-short, we wish to implement to Displays one on LVDS and second on DPI, our question is, is this possible?
The AM62A7 datasheet mentions there is just Single Display Support:
while the TRM mentions Dual Display Support:
I just want to be doubly sure before starting with my design. Could I get some help in understanding the Display constraints of the AM62A7 device? We would like to run an HMI on LCD interface that shall have an embedded video streaming from camera. While the HDMI port shall be used only for Camera streaming.
