Gingerbread 2.3.4 and Open Accessories

hi,

I just wanted to know if someone ported the open accessories libraries into the main kernel for beagle board xm (2.6.37 in rowboat manifest)? I recently checked out the 3.1 kernel and saw that the related files are there but then I tried to use this kernel along with the 2.3.4 rowboat sources but failed to boot for some reason I don't remember.

I also saw on the Ti dev kit 2.1.1 release notes that it's gonna be supported in future releases (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TI-Android-GingerBread-2.3.4-DevKit-2.1.1_ReleaseNotes), so T.I. may already have been working on this.

Hi Ferre,

1. At present we do not support open accessories for rowboat devkit releases. But we will post a public note, once it is available.

How's the open accessory coming? We are in the middle of a project and need

it. What solutions does TI currently or in the future offer?

Hi Matthew,

Currently TI does ot offer any s/w solution for open accessory.

But, one can start using beaglebone for this use case.http://beagleboard.org/bone/

We are working on this.. We will be sending a public note soon..Sorry I can not disclose the date.
